Realizzata con corpi, manici e meccaniche storicamente corretti, finiture di alta classe e ponendo la massima attenzione alle sonorità, con pickup specifici di ogni annata, ogni strumento cattura l’essenza della lavorazione e delle timbriche Fender più autentiche.
Quando Don Randall, direttore vendite Fender, richiese un modello di basso più sofisticato e ”high-end”, il risultato fu l’ormai iconico Jazz Bass®. Il manico fu reso più sottile al capotasto, con una risposta più veloce e scorrevole, e il nuovo body slanciato rispecchiava lo stile del profilo asimmetrico della Jazzmaster®. Entro il 1966, l’evoluzione dello strumento raggiunse nuove altezze con nuove importanti caratteristiche.
Il Jazz Bass American Vintage II 1966 è dotato di un comodo manico in acero canadese con profilo ad ”U” dalla suonabilità imbattibile, con una tastiera in palissandro round-lam (cioè dal fondo concavo) con raggio da 7.25”, e tasti dall’altezza vintage. Caratteristico della produzione del 1966, questo J-Bass® viene offerto con binding bianco del manico, segnaposizione in madreperla, due controlli di volume con tono master, paletta verniciata in tinta e battipenna tartarugato a 4 strati. Il ponte a 4 sellette filettate, le meccaniche ”lollipop” in stile vintage e i pickup Pure Vintage ‘66 Jazz Bass ricreano lo stile classico e la potente sonorità.

Just one year after launching the Broadcaster®, Fender received a cease-and-desist telegram from the Fred Gretsch Mfg. Co. and was faced with renaming its flagship electric guitar. Taking inspiration from the booming growth and expansive reach of television, the first blackguard Telecaster rolled off the line in late 1951, and the model has been in continuous production ever since. Deceptively simple and totally groundbreaking, the Telecaster® brought the solid body electric guitar to the masses, inspiring countless musicians along the way.
The American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster features an ash body finished in Butterscotch Blonde to capture the tone and look of the original. The substantial ‘51 ”U”-shaped hard rock maple neck plays like a dream with a 7.25” radius fingerboard and vintage tall frets. Characteristic of production in 1951, 12th fret face-dot spacing is narrow and the sole Phillips-head fastener on the guitar is at the truss rod nut. The triple brass saddle bridge, single-line ”Fender Deluxe” tuners and Pure Vintage ’51 Telecaster pickups deliver classic twang and authentic Fender style.
